The Federal Government Monday said efforts were on to ensure that oil facilities were not sabotaged by hoodlums who seek ransom in coastal areas.
President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement from the Media and Publicity, Mr. Garba Shehu, disclosed that military task forces have been mobilized to stop any sabotage in coastal areas.
Buhari who spoke during a meeting with a delegation from the United States Institute of Peace said that his administration will ensure that no sabotage of coastal areas will succeed.
He also promised to give priority to the resettlement of those who have been displaced by the insurgents in the North East.
Buhari equally said that his government attaches importance to human rights breaches, adding that any of such problem will be investigated and dealt with.
The US Institute which was led by Ms. Nancy Lindborg, promised to assist in the ongoing reconstruction work in the North East.
