MARAN begins President’s final journey with Candle lit Procession

Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) on Thursday commenced the final descend of its late President, Ifeyinwa Obi with a solemn candle lit procession, even as sympathetic stakeholders took the opportunity to stress the need to move closer to God.

It was in final preparation for the movement of Mrs Obi’s body from Lagos to her country home, Abatete in Anambra State, for a befitting burial on May 10th, 2017.

The late MARAN President died last month, leaving aged parents, and four children, including 16months twins.

Some of the stakeholders came from the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency; the freight forwarding, amidst colleagues outside the MARAN, who showed up in admonishing encouragement, that Obi’s twins must not suffer.
