…As fire sears Tanker in Singapore Strait***

Ferry PRINCESS ANASTASIA ran aground shortly after unmooring at Stockholm in Brevik area, at around 1710 UTC Nov 6.

Ferry with more than 1000 passengers on board was bound for Helsinki Finland.

Understood she is already refloated and taken back to terminal at Stockholm, she was in process of berthing as of 1940 UTC, assisted by tugs and escorted by rescue and CG boats. Blackout said to be the cause of grounding.

In the meantime, fire erupted on board of product tanker HOYU on Nov 7 near Horsburgh Lighthouse, eastern Singapore Strait.

The ship woth cargo of oil products was en route from Singapore to Philippines. Fire according to MPA Singapore statement, was extinguished, crew evacuated.

Last AIS received at around 0530 UTC Nov 7, when tanker was under way full speed near lighthouse.
