NIWA: Moghalu never fixed a Stakeholders’ Meeting for Friday

NIWA: Company Secretary says Moghalu is Muslims- friendly

The Managing Director, Nigerian Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief Moghalu at the weekend cautioned some social media tiger against what he called ‘falsehood peddling’, stressing that he had been preoccupied with NIWA budget defence in Abuja, rather than campaigning in Kogi State or shunning shareholders’ meeting in Lagos.

The NIWA Boss made the clarification following an online publication which reportedly alluded Moghalu’s absence in Lagos last week to his attraction for political campaigns in Kogi, in favour of the ruling APC Governorship re-election efforts.

The NIWA General Manager and Image-maker, Fadile told the Maritime First that while there may be nothing wrong in showing solidarity for an APC member on a campaign trail, the absolute was that Moghalu was fully preoccupied in Abuja.

“The NIWA Managing, Chief Moghalu was busy with the National Assembly, defending NIWA’s 2020 budget”, Fadile stated, noting that Moghalu was no where near Lokoja as claimed by the misleading report.

“He was not in Lokoja, nor did he Campaign for anybody for that matter”, Fadile explained, stressing the need for a mature retraction and a more objective reportage in future.

He specifically highlighted the NIWA Boss embarrassment, and debunked the report in its entirety; stressing also that Moghalu never scheduled any appointment with stakeholders in Lagos for Friday and so, could not have shunned them.

“l never scheduled a meeting with Lagos stakeholders, as my proposed Lagos trip has not been scheduled, nor confirmed”, Moghalu emphasised further.
