Eid-el-Fitri: Cleric Urges Nigerians to Pray for Improved Security

A Muslim Cleric, Sheikh Nurudeen Kadiri, the Chief Imam, Sideekat Ahmed Megida Central Mosque, Ikorodu, has urged Nigerians to pray to Allah for a better security situation in the country.

Kadiri made the call in Lagos on Monday after the congregation prayer.

Kadiri pleaded with Nigerians to be patience with the present administration and the security agencies.

The cleric said Nigeria’s Muslims should be thankful to Allah for giving them the opportunity to start and end the fast on a good note.

He said: “All of us must maintain consistency, all the unlawful things we have abandoned during Ramadan should be consistently consistent.

“If we are consistent in our righteousness during and after Ramadan.

Allah will easily forgive all our sins and bless us in this world and for years thereafter.

“Only Allah knew whether all our goods deeds is accepted or not, so Muslims should also fast for six days during the months of Shawal.

“It important for us to love one another and always pray to Allah to guide our leaders right,” ‘

Kadiri prayed to Allah to choose righteous leaders for the country in the forthcoming election.

The cleric advised mothers to always extend kindness and love to one another to enable them to have a better society.

He asked Nigerians to revive community parenting which he said was lacking in the society.

Kadiri advised Muslim husbands to also take care of their wives and children to have a better society.

Also speaking, a Teacher, Mr. Badmus Ali, thanked the Almighty for giving them another opportunity to end the fast and pray for more peace in the country.

Alhaja Risikat Adeshina urged the Federal Government to improve the security of the country and also prayed to God to guide our leaders’ rights.
