The trailers, reckless drivers and other Nigerians!

The Toyota suddenly leapt into the air, in the glare of speeding cars, preparatory to what everyone had expected would be a grand somersaults. But the expected did not happen, as miraculously, while still in the air, the timely hand of God caught it.

The driver of the vehicle, surveys the car from safe distance, after surviving the trailer on slaught. How many Nigerians have been freely murdered by reckless trailers in the past?

How many Nigerians have been freely murdered by reckless trailers in the past?

Nobody could explain what happened. All that could be reasonably understood was that, the car was seemingly ‘arrested’ mid air, brought down and ‘detained’, on the road divider.

Pushed off the road by a reckless trailer driver, the car which was halfway into overtaking the cojoin vehicle took off, preparatory to somersaulting, when the long arm of God arrested it, and detained it on the road divider.

The accident in which the lucky man cheated death occurred on Saturday, few minutes after 10 am., 3 minutes after leaving the Ogere Toll Gate, on the Ibadan- Lagos Expressway; and moments before getting to the Petrol Station, after the overhead bridge.

The man who was obviously attempting to overtake a trailer told the Maritime First that he was halfway into the venture, when the trailer driver began to swerve towards him, momentarily edging him off the road!

But as he attempted to escape being dragged under the co-join vehicle, the car ran into some thick shrubs, hit a boulder and leapt into the air.

But though it quickly happened, it however seemed that God’s intervention was quicker, as the car, inexplicably and precariously rested on the road divider. Surprisingly, it also turned its face back again, towards Lagos, instead of its original mission of flying a cross the road-divider, into on-coming vehicles, on the Lagos Ibadan axis.

The first official of the Federal Road Safety Corp on arrival, made a critical appraisal of the situation and declared: “Obviously, this man’s time is not yet up!”
As at 10.30 am when the Maritime First was leaving the scene, the man who came out, totally unscathed, was still waiting for a towing vehicle with a proper equipment to lift him down!

Now, you can be rest assured that there would be some ‘Special Thanksgiving’ tomorrow in a Church or Mosque very soon.

Its absolutely, the handiwork of God!
But while we await the usual ceremony, the truck driver, like his other fellow reckless colleagues are still out there, freely wrecking more havoc!
