Exploring prospects of stronger trade, through seamless collaboration with relevant organizations, the (Acting) Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, received Tuesday, a delegation from the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture.
The delegation which was led by the NACCIMA President, Dele Kelvin Oye, in addition to felicitating with the CGC over his appointment, said it was motivated by his exceptional steps, being deftly moved, towards leading the Nigeria Customs Service to greater heights within so little a time.
While calling significant attention to the proper regulation of trade and industries in the country, Mr. Kelvin reminded the CGC of the issues surrounding the Certificate of Origin and affirmed that NACCIMA was determined to support the Nigeria Customs Service in all ramifications.

In his response, the CGC, Wale Adeniyi assured of the Service preparedness to collaborate with NACCIMA to ensure enhanced trade facilitation.
He restated that his leadership is committed to strengthening the collaboration between the Service and stakeholders for the benefit of Nigerians, adding that the Service will join hands with NACCIMA to organize a Sensitization Workshop for the two parties.

In another development, the Comptroller General of Customs has met with representatives of the United Bank for Africa, UBA, who came on a Courtesy Visit to the Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters.
During the meeting, the leader of the delegation Non-Executive Director, Kayode Fashola, congratulated the CGC on his appointment while also informing him of their commitment to strengthen the already existing cordial relationship between Customs and the UBA.
