Fear Grips Ferry Passengers Over Dilapidated Marina Jetty

Passengers using Marina jetty at C.M.S, Lagos Island, Nigeria are apprehensive over the deplorable state of the facility.

The jetty is a meeting point of all passengers wishing to catch a ferry to Apapa or Mile 2 in Lagos.

The jetty is also close to a major CMS Bus stop which serves as a connecting route for passengers going to the Island and Mainland in Lagos.

The facility houses the Nigeria Ports Authority jetty, Defense Jetty, NIWA jetty, and that of other government agencies. private operators and traders.

Our Correspondent who visited the jetty noted that the structures have become very old and are not being maintained, a development which observers see as very dangerous to passengers and traders who carry out commercial activities in the area.
