Amy stated this in a chat in her Ikoyi Lagos office, stressing the need for Nigerians, particularly the business class to harness the business opportunities in the country, compliment the current Government’s policies and make Nigeria greater!
Highlighting the nation’s management of COVID 19, which resulted in the least pandemic’s devastation when compared to even the developed countries, Amy posited that Nigeria is packed with strengths, visions and a capacity that may not be easily assessed, until when truly challenged.

Her strong point, therefore, was that the people should challenge themselves, rather than wait to be challenged , before bringing out the best in them.
“As an entrepreneur, the challenges in the country are opportunities. It is as simple as that”, she said, noting that nothing can be more frustrating than listening to those who say they are waiting for everything to be perfect before they would invest.
“And why would I want you to invest when everything is perfect. You think I will then come to you and give you the benefit of what I slaved to develop. No, if you are not part of the struggle, you can not be part of the party!”
Amy explained that the LADOL came about because Nigerians realized the urgent for a strategic industrial zone.
“We needed a strategic industrial zone inside Nigeria, that would allow things to be done, that had never been done before, for example, Deep Offshore LogistIvs support, massive fabrication and integration; support for agricultural processing, support for manufacturing and in order to realize that vision, they knew that we have to follow the pattern of other countries and build a special economic zone!

“And so, that’s how LADOL started, 20 years ago now and the vision and mission has not waivered since then!
“And the beauty of this facility and the driver of their commitment is job creation!
For every one job created in LADOL, five to 10 jobs are created outside; because by taking on the really tough jobs, we open up the market for the easier jobs to be done!
“For example, if a company knows that they can half their logistics cost by operating out at LADOL, and that they can have that level of efficiency, of moving people and cargo, of assembling.., that means they are going to invest more in Nigeria; and do what? They are going to chose Nigeria as their hub for all of West Africa…!
