
Members of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) led by the President General, Comrade (Prince) Adewale Adeyanju at the APM Terminals, Apapa today, to protest what he calls, very poor remuneration of Nigerian labour workers, by the foreign terminal managing giant!
The Maritime Worker’s Union of Nigeria (MWUN) today halts activities at APM Terminals, Apapa, Lagos Port, after three-day warning maneuvers over issues of poor remuneration of workers at the facilities.
The President General, MWUN, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju and other top members of the Dockworkers’ Branch were at the forefront of the entry points of the terminals.
MWUN insisted that management of APM Terminals are taking Nigerian labour workers for a ride hence the need for the demonstration.

As at the time of filing this report, APM Terminals has been barricaded, with workers instructed to stop operations and vacate the facilities immediately.
Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria warns that it may extend the warning strike against APM Terminals Apapa should the need become necessary.
